Canada will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package. In particular, it will include machine guns and cartridges.
It is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to a joint briefing Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau with Ukrainian counterpart Denis Shmyhal.
The head of the Canadian government noted that his country has been providing military assistance to Ukraine for more than a year. Tanks, armored personnel carriers, ammunition and other weapons were handed over to Ukrainian defenders.
“Today we are announcing that there will be even more weapons. We are sending 21,000 assault rifles, 38 machine guns and more than 2.4 million rounds of ammunition. This will help the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to defend their freedom and fight for the territorial integrity of Ukraine,” Trudeau said.
