The practice of random testing of international vaccinated passengers entering Canada upon arrival is now being reinstated. The federal government originally suspended them on June 11.
This time, however, the random tests will not be carried out at the airport: they will take place either in a personal appointment with selected test providers and pharmacies or in a virtual appointment for a self-swab test.
Travelers will be notified by email within 15 minutes of completing the CBSA Customs Declaration. Both vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers can be selected for the test. (OF)
