This day the work continues to extinguish the flames of the Agua volcano fire, in Santa María de Jesús, Sacatepequez, which occurred on February 21 on the slopes of the volcano and which according to reports has spread over several hectares of land .
To this extent, Aeroclub de Guatemala along with other private companies have been in charge of flying over the areas with aircraft and finding the main points of fire.
In this regard, and in response to the call for international help, the Government of Canada began work this morning with the Aeroclub team to manage and control the fire, as announced by the institution.
“The management and safeguarding of our natural resources is an issue that we share together with Canada, who today, in a joint effort, are supporting the control of the Agua volcano,” they commented.

The Executive Secretary of Conred, Claudinne Ogadales, expressed her gratitude to all the institutions, organizations and groups that have joined the fight.
“These actions represent the great impact that public-private alliances can have to articulate efforts for the well-being of the population,” he added.
