/ world today news/ Canada will introduce additional sanctions against Russia, announced the country’s foreign minister, John Bird.
The new package of sanctions foresees the introduction of additional restrictions on the export of technologies used in the oil and gas industries.
“The new sanctions are related to Russia’s actions in Ukraine. Given the crisis there, doing nothing is not the way out of the situation,” noted Byrd.
Under the new sanctions, Canada will expand the list of individuals who are banned from entering the country, and their bank accounts – if any – will be frozen.
