Canada Goose to Consolidate Boisbriand Plant Activities and Transfer Employees to Chabanel Premises

His name appears on the monthly list of notices of collective dismissals received at the Ministry of Employment and Social Solidarity in March.

Contacted by Radio-Canada, Canada Goose indicated through a communication agency that the lease expired at the end of July and that the company consolidera the activities of the Boisbriand plant at our premises in [la rue] Chabanel during the following months, including the transfer of employees.

In its official statement, the company says it is working to develop a plan to transfer as many employees as possible from Boisbriand to [ses installations de la rue] Chabanel.

« We remain deeply committed to our business in Canada and will continue to manufacture our products locally in Quebec and across the country. »

Canada Goose is not currently planning any further groupings.

We are confident in our production infrastructure and the performance of our seven other facilities in Canadawe specify.

Opened in 2017, the Boisbriand plant was the first in Quebec. It employed more than 500 people in 2019.

Canada Goose has one facility in Montreal, three in the Greater Toronto Area and three in Winnipeg.
