The Venezuelan ambassador to Canada, Orlando Viera-Blanco, reported that the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marc Garneau and the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken met to discuss the crisis in Venezuela.
Viera Blanco assured that during the meeting, a roadmap was advanced between the association between the administrations of the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau and the President of the United States, Joe Biden.
“Venezuela was part of the agenda, they discussed the terrible situation in the country and agreed to work with the international community to address the crisis,” he said.
On the other hand, the diplomat said that both nations reaffirmed their commitment to human rights.
“They agreed to work alongside the international community to address the crisis and human suffering it is causing. They reaffirmed their commitment to human rights and the search for peaceful solutions ”, he concluded.
