In the semi-finals, the Canadians and the Americans will face the Germans and the Spanish, in that order.
Germany qualified directly after beating Spain 18-15 in the last qualifying round on Saturday to finish top with six wins and one loss.
For its part, the Spanish team reached the penultimate phase after finishing second with four wins and three losses.
In the remaining qualifying rounds, Canada beat Azerbaijan 21-19, France beat Australia 18-16 and China lost 12-14 to the United States.
