In Hoy por hoy Murcia we have heard several examples of people who have either been cared for by the Red Cross or who have become volunteers in charge of programs such as Red Cross listens to you or training programs.
Carmen Carrero Ruiz, beneficiary of the employment plan, has told us about her experience with this international movement. Like so many people, the pandemic has wreaked havoc on her family, the Red Cross has helped her get ahead and has set up her own business.
For its part, Alberto guirao, a volunteer for the Red Cross Listen to You program, which consists of telephone care, especially psychosocial care for people affected by the pandemic.
Finally, we have spoken with Luis Carlos Sesma, training volunteer, in charge of training in first aid and emergencies.
The Spanish Red Cross is a humanitarian institution that is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, whose main purpose is to relieve human pain.
Currently focuses its action on international cooperation and humanitarian aid, as well as in the social intervention with vulnerable groups such as the elderly, refugees and immigrants, affected by HIV, drug addicts, childhood and youth, the prison population, the disabled, women in social difficulties, etc.
At present it would be impossible to live in a world without the work of the Red Cross.
