CASABLANCA- June 24 to July 8, 2023, Morocco will host the fourth edition of the U23 Africa Cup of Nations in the cities of Rabat and Tangier. Since the creation of CAN U-23 in 2011, Guinea had never participated in this competition. For the first time in its history, the Guinea U23 team will take part in this final phase in Morocco after eliminating Nigeria in the last qualifying round.
For its first CAN under 23, the Syli Espoir is housed in group A with Morocco, Ghana and Congo. The opening match of the competition will oppose Morocco to Guinea. This meeting is scheduled for Saturday, June 24, 2023. Two days after its first outing, Syli Espoir will face Congo before facing Ghana for its third group match on June 30, 2023.
Group A matches will take place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah sports complex in Rabat, while Group B matches will take place at the Grand Stade de Tanger. The first three nations will get their ticket for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
