Liverpool will host Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday (16/10/2022) WIB evening in the Premier League. The two teams that have become bitter rivals over the past four seasons have a different start this time around.
Manchester City started relatively quietly, currently in second place with 23 points from seven wins and two draws. Liverpool are currently in trouble, having just won two, drew four and lost twice.

While City are still unbeaten, Liverpool have yet to find stability. Mohamed Salah et al winless in their last three games: draw against Everton and Brighton & Hove Albion and defeat against Arsenal in the last match.
In their own bout, Liverpool came in with a less bright trend. In the Premier League, they are winless in their last five fights against Manchester City (D3, L2).
BBC revealed that there has been no history of Liverpool winning against Manchester City for more than five matches. But interestingly, when it comes to matches in all competitions, Liverpool actually have a good record because they have won in their last two games, most notably the FA Cup and Community Shield.
It’s just that within the Premier League, Manchester City must be recognized as more dominant over Liverpool. They have also picked up four points in their last two visits to Anfield.
The point tally is only one point less than the total of the previous 17 away games at Anfield (5 draws, 12 defeats).
