can the Nets take down the Cavs?

This is what we call a rather quiet evening. After eating well last night, the NBA is offering us four short games this time. More than enough to have something to eat. On the program this evening, Wemby in prime time and the Nets on mission against the Cavs.

The NBA program of the night

  • SpursJazz : 23h
  • Hawks – Bulls : 1h30
  • Cavaliers – Nets : 1h30
  • Clippers – Raptors : 4h30

Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs in French time!

It’s not always the days that this happens, so you might as well make the most of it. Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs host Jazz late in the evening, at 11 p.m. The opportunity to bring out the blanket, and sit on the sofa to see what the Alien has in store for us. It must be said that with Victor since the start of the season, each match has had its share of surprises.

The interior is in great difficulty with its shooting, its selection of shots and its use raise questions, but remains capable of big shots. A few days ago against the Clippers for example, Wemby distributed nine blocks in the same match. An extremely rare performance, and one that he alone or almost alone is capable of in the NBA.

Speaking of big performances, here. Earlier in the season, the Spurs traveled to the Mormons, and Victor Wembanyama had one of his best games this season. Hoping for him, and for us, that Vic sets the table again tonight.

What if the Nets became the first to knock off the Cavs?

Obviously, at first glance, the sentence may make you smile. The Cavs are currently the best team in the NBA, and have not lost a single one of their first ten games. An impressive series, but one that could perhaps end tonight.

But then, why will you tell us, and this is a legitimate question. The Nets, although surprising, still seem much less strong than their evening opponents. The only thing is, Jordi Fernandez’s men have a nasty habit of playing itchy in the face of the big fish. Last night, Cam Thomas and his gang, for example, pushed the Celtics, despite the reigning champions, into overtime. Same thing for the Nuggets, who Brooklyn took at the end of the night before losing.

Add to that that both teams are back-to-back, and you have a match that could well be full of twists and turns. In any case, if the Nets beat the Cavs, don’t hesitate to shout from the rooftops that you saw it here first. Otherwise, forget what you just read.

The Clippers to chain the pass of four?

Quite inconsistent since the start of the season, the Sailboats nevertheless seem to have found their cruising speed. The Clippers remain in fact on three consecutive victories, and will try to nab the fourth tonight against the Raptors.

A challenge a priori affordable, but which Tyronn Lue and his gang will have to take seriously if they do not want another avoidable defeat, like the one conceded against the Blazers a few days ago.

Opposite, the Dinos are fighting as best they can, despite a slightly overfilled infirmary. Toronto is showing good things, but has only two small victories since the start of the season. Come on, as they say, never two without three.

The French (potentially) in the running this evening

  • Victor Wembanyama, who will try to ride the Jazz a second time.
  • Sidy Cissoko, who we hope will have a few minutes against Jazz.
  • Zacharie Risacher and the Hawks host Chicago.
  • Nicolas Batum, doing Nicolas Batum against the Raptors.
