According to a heart and blood vessel specialist from Siloam Hospital, Dr. Vito Damay, SpJP(K), MKes, AIFO-K, FIHA, FICA, FAsCC, a minor stroke can restore the function of his previously paralyzed hands or feet.
Even so, Dr. Vito said that conditions like this need to be ascertained first regarding the cause. Is it because of heart rhythm disorders that can make blood clots or narrowing of blood vessels due to high blood or cholesterol.
“A mild stroke, you can recover the function of your hands or feet that were previously paralyzed. But you have to find out what the cause is, is it a heart rhythm disorder that can cause blood clots or constriction of blood vessels due to high blood pressure and cholesterol?,” he said when contacted by AFP on Friday (29 /7/2022).
Dr. Vito also emphasized that this condition cannot be underestimated and must be prevented. This is because minor strokes can occur repeatedly, even more severe.
