Can Make All Citizens of the World Rich, NASA is Ready to Bring Space Treasures to Earth

NEW YORK – The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) found treasure from space. NASA plans to explore the asteroid Psyche 16 which is believed to be a gold mine from the universe.

As reported by The Sun, discovered in the late 19th century, Psyche 16 lies between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter and consists of a solid metal structure.

According to reports received by NASA, the gold content in asteroids is enough to make every inhabitant of Earth a billionaire.

Reported by Forbes, the asteroid with a diameter of 226 kilometers is estimated to have a value of USD 10 million trillion. When compared with the world economy in 2019, which amounted to USD 133 trillion, the treasure content in Psyche 16 amounts to 75,188 world economies.

The mission to reach Psyche is now in its final stages. NASA’s Discovery Mission Psyche, is expected to launch next year. More facts about the asteroid, including its exact metal content, are expected to be revealed in early 2026.

For this mission, NASA prepared a budget of almost USD 1 billion. Approximately USD 850 million was spent on mission development, operations and science, and another USD 117 million on launch costs. Total for this mission to Psyche NASA prepared USD 967 million.

The mission launch is scheduled for August 2022 aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket from Launch Complex 39A at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. Psyche’s solar-powered spacecraft is now entering Phase D, which is the assembly, testing and launch of the final spacecraft.

Supervised by Arizona State University, Maxar Technologies’ Solar Electric Propulsion (SEP) chassis has been fabricated by Maxar Technologies in Palo Alto, California, the spacecraft will now move into empty space at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) for assembly, testing, and launch operation.
