Frequent rinsing with salt water contributes to the formation of edema in the nose and a reduction in the function of the nasal mucosa. It is difficult to answer whether Vita’s mother has a smell disorder due to rinsing – it is necessary to see the patient, because there can be various reasons for the smell disorder. It would be necessary to visit a specialist and it is possible to perform in-depth examinations. ”
