Can goalkeeper Saturnin Allagbé help Dijon to recover?

Dijon, which is struggling at the start of the season, has hired Saturnin Allagbé. This new goalkeeper, from Niort (Ligue 2 club), will replace Alfred Gomis, transferred to Rennes.

He is 26 years old, 1.87 m tall and has been named one of the best goalkeepers in Ligue 2 several times. He also has 18 national selections under the Beninese jersey. In summary, Saturnin Allagbé has a promising track record.

Trained in Benin, he tried out at the Girondins de Bordeaux before being spotted by Niort in 2014. It is in this club, which occupies the top of the Ligue 2 championship standings, that Saturnin Allagbé became the holder.

The Beninese are taking a new step today by signing for the first time in a Ligue 1 club. He signed up for three years with Dijon.

The Burgundy club desperately needs new energies to come back from the depths of the Ligue 1 standings, where it is currently in last place.

Saturnin Allagbé will make his first appearance in the Dijon workforce on Sunday October 4, 2020, at 3 p.m., during the trip to Bordeaux as part of the 6th day of Ligue 1.
