Gabby Petito’s tragic death not only affected the United States, but was covered in most international media.
Petitios corpse was found on 19 September 2021 in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. The body of his girlfriend Brian Laundrie was discovered a short month later at Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park in North Port.
Their deaths were among the most talked about in 2021, when Petito was missing for more than a month after she disappeared – and the police hunted hard for the suspected girlfriend Brian Laundrie – who was also eventually found dead.
The parents did not finish the case
In January, the FBI released information that Laundrie had in fact admitted the murder in a diary he had with him, according to several American media, including AP and CNN.
But Gabby Petito’s family feels that they still have only knowledge of fractions of the course of events that ended with the daughter’s death.

They still have to fight to uncover the whole truth.
One thing they probably know: It was his girlfriend Brian Laundrie who killed Gabby Petito.
– All logical investigative steps have been completed in this case. The investigation has not identified any individuals other than Brian Laundrie with direct involvement in the tragic death of Gabby Petito, said FBI agent in the Denver, Michael Schneider, in a press release.
New development – can get the diary
Gabby Petito’s family has now sued the Laundrie family in a move that could result in the Petito family gaining access to Brian’s diary and notes, according to NBC News.
The legal maneuver comes after Petito’s parents filed a lawsuit on March 10, accusing Laundrie’s parents, Christopher and Roberta Laundrie, of obstructing the search for their daughter.
