Lhe ecological transition works, in Europe, with the magic of numbers. The Commission has produced a lot of them since 2019: thus, if we want to “save the planet”, Europe must, by 2030, plant 3 billion trees, produce 30 million electric vehicles, and reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by -55% (compared to 1990). The European Parliament has just added a new magic number engraved in the stone of European law on Tuesday: the EU wants to renovate 40 million buildings by 2030 to reduce energy loss.
