Conmebol recognizes that the scenario is complicated, but the cancellation would represent a loss. The competition’s broadcasting rights are worth around US$100 million (around R$522 million).
The Brazilian team is in Group A of the competition, along with Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. The premiere is scheduled for June 14, at 20:00 (GMT).
