AKURAT.CO, Apple has quietly released a new MagSafe Battery Pack accessory aimed at the iPhone 12 series. Previously charger wireless this has been around for a long time, but it’s not officially made by Apple.
How it works, MagSafe is similar to a powerbank, but uses technology wireless or wireless. The device will attach magnetically to the back of the iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, or iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Apple announced battery packs a few days ago to provide extra battery life. This will help users to have a longer battery life than iPhone.
As quoted from NBC News, the $99 MagSafe Battery pack is available in white only. For now, Apple is selling it with the system preorder and will start shipping from next week.
When mounted on the back of the iPhone, it can charge the phone with a power of 5 watts or almost the same as iPhone chargers in general. However, as is well known, this charging may be 15 watts slower than regular MagSafe chargers.
When attached to an iPhone, users can plug the cable into the Lightning port to charge the battery and device at a faster speed. Like other Apple accessories, it integrates tightly with the iPhone operating system to provide additional battery life on iOS.
This week’s product release is the latest in a series of accessories using Apple’s MagSafe system, which was introduced last fall with the new iPhones. In surveys, additional battery life has consistently been one of the top features consumers want from their smartphones.
Previously, Apple has also released casing to increase battery life. However, it doesn’t use MagSafe. So, users have to plug into the iPhone port so that it can charge and provide a long enough life.
Apple doesn’t release official battery life estimates or charging capacities, but one product photo shows that the MagSafe battery has 1,460 milliamperes per hour, or just under half of the iPhone 12’s 3,110mAh battery.
