Libreville, January 4, 2024 (AGP) – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the amounts to be received by the various teams entered for the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations (CAN), scheduled for January 13 until February 11 in Ivory Coast.
The winner of the African Cup of Nations will pocket the whopping sum of 6.4 million euros, or a little over 4 billion CFA Francs. The finalist selection of this edition will receive an envelope of 3.65 million euros, the equivalent of 2,372,500,000 F CFA. The two teams exiting in the semi-finals will each receive 2,228 million euros (1,482,000,000 FCFA). The quarter-finalists will win 1.18 million euros (767,000,000 FCFA).
The Confederation of African Football has increased the amount of prize money to be distributed to the various participants by 40%.
