CampZone does not take place in physical form and organizer comes with online edition – Gaming – News

The physical edition of CampZone, an annual outdoor gaming event, is canceled this year. Duh-Events, the Dutch company behind CampZone and other gaming events, announces that there will be an online edition instead.

Duh-Events refers in an explanation to the press conference on Tuesday evening, where Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte announced that the applicable event ban will be extended until September 1. According to the organizer, therefore, there was no choice but to cancel the twentieth edition of the event. The company says that CampZone only fits in the summer holidays, so moving in 2020 is also out of the question. The next physical edition will take place in the summer of next year.

Alternatively, the company will host the first online edition of CampZone from July 24 through August 3. Duh-Events previously organized an online version of The-Party, a large indoor lan party. The company does not yet provide much information about this alternative interpretation for CampZone, however says that at least there will be live streams, so that interested parties can still follow the bingo, quizzes, tournaments and images of game sessions. This online edition of CampZone is completely free. The organizer says he will publish more information about this event at a later date.

Duh-Events says that 2020 will be a tough year, just like other event organizations. Therefore, the company hopes that cardholders will help by not having their tickets refunded and enforcing them for CampZOne 2021. People who still want to get rid of their ticket can submit a refund request using an online form until May 31st. Tickets for those who do not complete that form will automatically be converted into an entry ticket for next year’s edition on June 1.
