Campus Poland of the Future the main topic of the program Us, You, Them: Radio Olsztyn

Us, You, Them, or the Monday afternoon show with politicians. The show was hosted by Marek Lewiński.

With us in the studio at Radiowa 24 were:

  • Tomasz Owsianik from the Confederation,
  • Wladyslaw Mańkut from the New Left,
  • Jaroslaw Straw from the Civic Platform,
  • Paul Warot from Law and Justice.

Topic 1

In the first place is the Campus Polska Przyszłości, which takes place in Olsztyn, and from the theses put forward by the two most important speakers, the leaders of PO – Rafał Trzaskowski and Donald Tusk. One of the panel participants asked what to do to seal the Polish-Belarusian border, but at the same time, to ensure that all migrants are treated in a humane way. Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that “the first task of people who take responsibility for the security of the state is to guard the border and protect the territory of the country”. The guests assessed both speeches.

Topic 2

Włodzimierz Czarzasty, Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, leader of the Left, spoke about the abortion procedure during a speech at the Campus Polska Przyszłości. “I want to tell you, without picking on anyone or arguing with anyone, that the Left will not stop fighting for abortion rights,” he emphasized. Then he referred to the words of Prime Minister Tusk. “Donald, I’m sorry.” Czarzasty said that he “does not agree with the thesis that nothing can be done during this term of the Sejm” in the context of abortion. “Donald, I’m sorry,” he said, followed by applause.

In the recording published by Mikołaj Wasiewicz, a councilor of the Warsaw district of Wawer from the Civic Coalition, a crowd of young people can be seen having fun during a so-called silent disco and chanting vulgar slogans against PiS. This is seen by ministers Sławomir Nitras and Adam Szłapka.

Rafał Trzaskowski, the main face of Campus, has spoken out on the matter. – The young people who sang a vulgar song during Sunday’s silent disco were asked not to do so, there was an immediate reaction, and the young people were asked to behave more politely – the mayor of Warsaw told the Polish Press Agency.

Topic 3

Bartłomiej Ciążyński (Left) resigned from the position of deputy minister of justice after information that during private holidays he used a company car and filled it up using a company card. Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that he accepted Ciążyński’s resignation. Earlier, the wp.pl portal reported that Ciążyński went on a private holiday to Slovenia in a company limousine and “filled up the vehicle twice using a company card”. It added that the car and card belong to the Polish Centre for Technology Development (PORT), which is part of the nationwide Łukasiewicz Research Network, where Ciążyński worked before taking up the position at the Ministry of Justice.
