The local company Camptechspecialized in spraying and planting services with agricultural drones, is participating in San Francisco Expone 2024, highlighting the use of cutting-edge technology for the agricultural sector. Giuliano Roattapartner of the firm, spoke about the rapid growth of the company and the effectiveness of the DJI agricultural drones they use.
“We started at the beginning of the year providing service in the area, and today there are almost ten people. We have teams throughout the region and we have worked in Tucumán, Entre Ríos and Santa Fe. In a short time we saw the progress it has made,” explained Roatta. In addition, he detailed how Camptech has managed to expand rapidly throughout the country, offering not only spraying services, but also planting and fertilization.
One of the main advantages of this technology is its ability to operate in adverse conditions, something that Roatta highlighted as key for producers: “The most important advantage is that you do not need a soil condition to be able to enter. After a rain, which greatly affects traditional machines, we can operate with drones, even at night. Drones do not step on the field, so they do not need specific soil conditions,” he noted.
Camptech has also established itself as a distributor of DJI agricultural drones in the southern region of Córdoba. “We have after-sales technicians, we sell the equipment and offer maintenance and repair. In addition, we are representatives of Akron in the southern zone, providing these services throughout the country,” said Roatta, highlighting the technical support they offer to their clients.
Despite being a relatively new technology, Roatta encouraged producers to try agricultural drones: “Many are afraid because it is something new, but the truth is that it works very well. We have been with Akron in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, and we know that this technology is cutting-edge and works perfectly,” he stated.
