Luis Campos was brought in as a sports advisor for this year’s season.
The Portuguese was responsible for both the hiring of head coach Christophe Galtier as well as all the signings that Paris Saint-Germain made last summer. Decisions that in several cases have not turned out well, and recently there have been reports claiming that there is dissatisfaction with Campos.
According to French media, several senior players at PSG are unhappy with the club’s signings this summer, when the likes of Leandro Paredes, Idrissa Gueye and Julian Draxlar were forced to leave while Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz and Carlos Soler came in as replacements. Campos is also said to have fallen out with several players after the recent 3-1 loss against Monaco, when he entered the dressing room after the match and scolded the squad.
Now Foot Mercato reports that Luis Campos is at risk of leaving his job at PSG, just eight months after he took over.
According to the information, the Portuguese’s recruitment strategy is the main reason why he is now at risk of being fired. Players who have been contacted by PSG about a possible transfer to next season are said to be interested but at the same time hesitant due to the lack of clarity around the current project, a lack of clarity that Campos is said to be behind.
