CAMPECHE. – With a total of 187,643 doses applied, the health sector in Campeche has advanced 67.7 percent of the goal of 277,000 and one dose against Influenza in the 13 municipalities. This campaign, which began on October 16, 2023 and will conclude until March 31, 2024, has the priority of protecting children from 6 to 59 months, pregnant women, health personnel, older adults and people with chronic diseases.
This was reported by the State Coordinator of Vaccinology, Dominga Pacheco Alvarado, who pointed out that the institutions that make up the health sector such as the IMSS Ordinary, IMSS Bienestar, ISSSTE and the Ministry of Health participate throughout the state.
He highlighted that the joint work of health personnel and citizen participation will allow us to achieve the goal scheduled for the month of March 2024, and assured that there is a sufficient supply of vaccines in health centers, available free of charge to everyone.
Pacheco Alvarado reminded citizens that the winter season is present and that is when respiratory infections increase the most, therefore, he urged people to go to health centers to get vaccinated against this disease and thus avoid complications to their health.
