Campaigning for the last time: Who said what to his voters on election Friday

Two offers for a premiere, a concert and a flight over Musala peak – a hit of the day

An unexpected offer to “Democratic Bulgaria” and “We continue the change” for a common cabinet in which someone like Lozan Panov should be prime minister – this was the message of Boyko Borissov in the last hours of agitation before the vote this Sunday. In the last hours allowed for agitation, Kiril Petkov’s candidacy for Prime Minister was officially “received” – by his colleague Asen Vassilev.

Election Friday was used for final offers from all parties to voters. Many of them surprised with requests like the ones mentioned above, others bet on the more traditional closing of their campaigns with concerts and speeches.

President and candidate for a second term Rumen Radev also addressed the people, urging everyone to vote, because the individual rescue of the Bulgarian is at the heart of the moral crisis that has gripped our country.

First as a finale from COAT OF ARMS gave their traditional daily briefing, but without the leader Boyko Borissov. The former prime minister appeared on Nova TV early in the morning for an interview, in which he again warned that he expected the elections to be manipulated. However, if GERB is the first political force after them, a “non-partisan like Lozan Panov” will be nominated as prime minister, who will negotiate the composition of the cabinet with the other parties, the former prime minister announced. He has even talked to this man and received his consent, Borissov explained.

The possible partners for GERB in the 47th parliament were “Democratic Bulgaria” and the project of Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev “We continue the change”, but he confirmed that he is ready to seek support from the MRF, if necessary.

Almost at the same time, GERB Deputy Chairmen Tomislav Donchev and Daniel Mitov filed a complaint with the CEC with a request to ensure the fairness of the vote with 4 proposals:

1. The receipts of the machines should be counted at 100% in order to be checked with the machine protocols.

2. Receipts coming out of the machines for both types of selection should be placed in two separate boxes.

3. Video surveillance in reporting the election results.

4. Providing observers with IT specialists to monitor whether the machines are certified and whether the approved software is used.

The Co – Chair of “We continue to change” Kiril Petkov replied to Boyko Borissov that the two political forces could not be coalition partners because GERB was linked to “corruption in Bulgaria”. The other co-chairman, former Finance Minister Asen Vassilev, was of the same opinion. In a TV interview, he pointed out that the PP is ready for talks with almost all formations, emphasizing as natural partners “Democratic Bulgaria” and “Stand up BG! We are coming!”.

Kiril Petkov will be the party’s candidacy for the post of prime minister, Vassilev explained, and he saw himself again as finance minister. The first thing the formation would do in parliament was to review the KPKONPI and the prosecutor’s office.

The closing of the “We Continue Change” campaign was a symbolic march led by the two co-chairs in South Park. From 10 pm there is a concert with Tonica SV.

BSP closed the campaign with support from the German Social Democrats. The Chairman of the Delegation of the German Socialists to the European Parliament, Jens Geier, addressed the Bulgarian voters and called on them to vote for the centenary. The coordinator of the Committee on Development in the European Parliament, Udo Bullman, did the same.

The party’s chairwoman Cornelia Ninova met with supporters in Smolyan, where she presented a plan for the first 100 days of a possible left-wing government and proposals for the 2022 budget.

“There are such people” closes its campaign with a live broadcast on 7/8 TV, as well as on the Facebook profile of the party leader Slavi Trifonov. Thus, the viewers can directly ask questions to him, as well as to the experts of the political force – the chairwoman of the 45th and 46th National Assembly Iva Miteva and chairman of the Committee on Budget and Finance in the 46th National Assembly Lubomir Karimanski.

At the end of the campaign, the three co – chairs of “Democratic Bulgaria” Hristo Ivanov, Atanas Atanasov and Vladislav Panev met with supporters in front of the National Palace of Culture. Earlier, Ivanov joined Burgas live on Facebook to point out that the red lines remain in the 47th parliament. GERB and MRF remain impossible coalitions for the unification, and they will not give their support for a cabinet with a mandate of BSP, explained Hristo Ivanov.

The medical expert of DB Dr. Alexander Simidchiev flew over Musala peak and the Seven Rila Lakes together with “Spider-Man” Ivan Kristof. The two made a helicopter flight as a symbolic support for the cause that Bulgaria will soon have air medical assistance. Antoaneta Tsoneva, the leader of the DB list in the region, and her runner-up, Alexandra Sterkova, alerted about manipulations with the right of disabled people to vote at home through mobile ballot boxes in the municipalities of Batak and Sarnitsa.

The co – chairs of “Stand up BG! We’re coming!” Maya Manolova and Nikolay Hadjigenov closed their campaign with a protest in front of the Energy Exchange building. Manolova threatened to stop “the huge scams, from which the prices of electricity, heating, food jump.” According to her, in recent months the exchange has intertwined many interests for millions of levs. Earlier, with a live inclusion from his Facebook account, he reported thefts of nearly 1 billion from the renovation of blocks.
