The Municipal Medical Center of the Provincial Municipality of Santa will carry out a cervical and breast cancer prevention campaign every Tuesday for the benefit of the female population.
Those interested can go to the place that is located in the Manuel Seoane jirón, in front of the La Caleta de Chimbote Hospital.
“We do Pap smears and visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA) to prevent cancer. The only payment is 10 soles, which includes the obstetric consultation”, explained the obstetrician Edith Mendoza Gamboa.
The professional added that they also teach women the steps of the breast self-assessment to identify possible lumps or masses.
The staff of the Municipal Medical Center attends from Monday to Friday from 8 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon. The breast and cervical cancer prevention campaign will run throughout the year. (RM – RSD News).
