Starting today and until March 5, students from public and private educational centers will be able to participate in the mask design contest promoted by the National Children’s Trust (PANI), the Ministry of Public Education (MEP) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), which seeks to make this beginning of classes more entertaining.
The initiative is presented under the motto “I take care of myself, I take care of you and the community takes care of itself: together we protect ourselves” and aims donate masks to the most vulnerable schools and colleges for a safer back to school.
As indicated this Monday Minister of Children and Adolescents and Executive President of PANI, Gladys Jimenez Arias:
With this contest we want children and adolescents to express, through art, how they take care of themselves and their classmates and family members when they return to school ”.
To participate in the contest, students will need to upload a photograph of their mask design with your participation ticket published on the organizers’ social networks.
It is also important to remember that the design must have the necessary elements and dimensions to be printed on a mask.
UNICEF made an initial donation that will allow printing up to 4,000 masks for this purpose and some of these masks will carry the winning designs.
Creative proposals will be accepted until March 5; The jury will determine between March 8 and 15 two winners for each of the categories (children and youth); and in the week of March 15-19, the winners will be announced.
A qualified jury will be integrated in matters of childhood and adolescence, made up of persons designated by the MEP, PANI and UNICEF.
The winners will be divided into two categories: Children’s Category from 5 to 12 years old and Youth Category from 12 to 18 years old.
The prize for the winners of this contest will be a generic tablet courtesy of Tienda Monge.
Children and young people who wish to enter the contest can do so here.
