As part of the campaign against breast cancer, which started with the participation of local authorities and doctors, the Municipal DIF will grant 300 studies for mammograms to women residents of the Maneadero delegation.
In this initiative of the Directorate of Social Welfare of the Government of Ensenada, the Ensenada College of Physicians and the Health Services Jurisdiction of the Government of the State of Baja California participate.
Mayor Armando Ayala Robles indicated that Social Welfare has been working on the prevention of breast cancer since February, granting more than 900 tests.
For his part, the director of Wellness, Jorge Eduardo Vega Zamora, reported that on Tuesday, October 19, a fundraising breakfast will be held to support women in chemotherapy treatments, surgeries, medicine, psychological care, among others.
Vega Zamora specifies that breakfast will take place at 9:00 a.m. at the Coral & Marina Hotel with a cooperation of 300 pesos, and tickets can be purchased at the Municipal Social Welfare Offices or by phone at (646) 172 -3444 and (646) 172-3445.
Ramn Avitia Hernndez, president of the Ensenada College of Physicians, said that perseverance in medicine is of the utmost importance, which is why the preventive work that is done for the timely detection of breast cancer.
He affirmed that members of the union will provide support to those who detect an anomaly, that is, there is a suspicion about the presence of a tumor, so that it can be treated.
The College of Physicians will give consultations for a proper diagnosis; Inmujer will have a team of psychologists to attend free of charge to women who are in the process of cancer; and the General Hospital collaborate by receiving the majority of consultations and diagnoses.

Oralia Tinoco Gonzlez, head of Municipal DIF, reported that as the first action of this new administration, it will be the delivery of 300 studies for mammography to women residents of the Maneadero delegation.
The official made an attentive invitation for any woman interested in obtaining a free study to attend the Maneadero gym at 10:30 am next Thursday, October 8.
