As part of civic duty and civic education, the nursery school produced a model representing the Alaskan hairy, sled dogs who played a decisive role during the First World War.
Following the presentation of the model to the National Order of Merit, the schoolchildren involved in this civic action were rewarded with the citizen education prize last March.
In addition, their various annual actions in the various commemorations in Campaign were noticed by the FNBPC (National Federation of the wounded of the lungs combatants). Before ceasing to operate in December 2021, the latter, aware of the involvement of young Campenois, wanted to honor them through a grant. This donation allowed the purchase of key rings bearing the effigy of husky, representation of the valiant soldier dogs who distinguished themselves alongside the Poilus of 14-18 by providing them with invaluable help.
These small gifts were handed over on Tuesday 29 June to each of the young participants, so that they retain and do not forget their duty to remember.
