California state prison officials confirmed Saturday that they are investigating the death of Camilo Banoslopez, 22 years old. As suspects, four other inmates are being investigated who would have attacked him in one of the courtyards of the California State Prison at Folsom, in Sacramento.

Officials from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) confirmed that about 11:30 a.m. on FridayBanoslopez would have been attacked by the inmates with fake weapons, although the type of weapons was not confirmed.

The suspects in the attack were identified as Albert Calvillo30 years old, irvin rodriguez36, Osbaldo Velasquez38 and Jose Avila, 39. All four would have convictions for gang-related crimes and are serving long prison sentences. Three of them would be serving sentences for crimes or assaults in prison.

Banoslopez was transferred to a hospital center due to the seriousness of his injuries, but He was pronounced dead at 12:38 p.m. Friday.confirmed the CDCR.

In 2015, Banoslopez was sentenced in San Bernardino County to 8 years in prison for robbery and inflicting bodily injury serious during a gang attack, according to the CDCR.
