In the 60s and 70s, at the Teatro Stabile in Genoa, it was directed several times by Luigi Squarzina, specializing in the repertoire of Carlo Goldoni. I also worked alongside Dario Fo, both in the theater and in the television transposition of his comedies, such as The lady to throw and Parliamo di donne. Camillo Milli had made his big screen debut with Luigi Zampa’s Girls of Today but was one of the protagonists of the Italian comedy of the 1980s. Character in numerous films, often in the roles of prelates (In the name of the Pope King by Luigi Magni, 1977; Il marchese del Grillo by Mario Monicelli, 1981) or alongside comedians such as Paolo Villaggio (in Fantozzi contro tutti) and Lino Banfi. With Banfi, one of the successes that made his face more recognizable: Milli was the president of the down-and-out Lombard landed incredibly in Serie A and trained by Oronzo Can-Banfi in The coach in the ball. During the fake interviews within the film, Milli parodied a president of the time, probably Edmeo Lugaresi from Cesena, who couldn’t conjugate verbs. Furthermore, during the transfer market, Milli ironically imagined the buying and selling of players in co-ownership, a practice that in those years was spreading among football clubs. On television, where you started acting in the 1960s, he was best known for the role of Ugo Monti in the soap opera CentoVetrine. He also took part in the famous carousel of China Martini, together with Ernesto Calindri and Franco Volpi from 1957 to 1963.
