Cuban singer and songwriter Camila Cabello will star in the opening ceremony of the UEFA Champions League Final, reported the EFE agency.
This year’s opening ceremony will be a carnival-themed celebration. For five minutes, a extraordinary display of choreographed costumes, dancers and musicians will bring to life a show full of energy from the Stade de France in Paris on Saturday May 28.
In her presentation, Cabello will perform a medley of her greatest hits, as well as new releases from her acclaimed third studio album Family.
The artist made the following comment on social media about her performance. I am so excited to take the stage at the UEFA Champions League Final in Paris this month! I intend to put on a truly special show, uniting the spirit of my Latin heritage with a feeling of togetherness for sports and music fans around the world. I can not wait!”.
Each year the opening ceremony features some of the world’s biggest music artists, who offer an elaborate show that generates great expectation in the Final of the UEFA Champions League.
Camila is also among the list of musical and soccer talents that will support #Football4Refugees (“Soccer for Refugees”, in Spanish). This is an appeal launched by UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, which seeks to unite the global football community in raising funds for displaced people.
The opening ceremony of this year’s UEFA Champions League Final will be broadcast in more than 200 countries and territories around the world, minutes before the biggest game in European club football kicks off. Fans will be able to watch the show via their local broadcaster and UEFA’s official TikTok and YouTube channels.
