The insurance sector generally remained on an evolving margin at the end of the previous financial year, despite market fluctuations with varying fortunes in the life branch and non-life insurance. According to consolidated statistics published by the Ministry of Finance, the Association of Insurance Companies of Cameroon (ASAC) achieved a total turnover of 211 billion FCFA in 2020 (359 million dollars), an increase of 1.15% compared to the year 2019 which posted 209 billion FCFA (355 million dollars). This figure is made up of 140 billion FCFA (238 million dollars)
