Cameroon :: Yaoundé: A substitute deputy expelled from the Pcrn press conference (Video) :: Cameroon

The press conference of the Cameroonian Party for National Reconciliation (PCRN) held this afternoon at the Djeuga Palace hotel in Yaoundé, almost turned sour. The press conference is organized by Robert KONA, the most illustrious of the founding fathers of this political party whose reins were handed over in 2019 to Cabral LIBII.

Entering the hotel, Fabrice TOUELI BAMLOU, the substitute deputy for Nourane FOTSING, did not digest Robert KONA’s introductory remarks. “This press briefing is illegal,” shouted the substitute deputy, before provoking the ire of the speakers, and being unceremoniously deported from the hotel by a squad of gendarmes and police deployed in large numbers to this event .

The PCRN has been in the grip of an acute internal crisis for some time. The founder Robert KONA, who is said to be manipulated by the power in Yaoundé, made an about-face, claiming to have never ceded the head of the party to the deputy Cabral LIBII. A curiosity brandished one month before the PCRN congress scheduled for this Friday, December 15, 2023 in Kribi in the south of the country, but ultimately banned by the administration.

Several people wonder who financed Robert KONA’s stay in Yaoundé with his men who left from their native Far North, staying in a luxurious hotel in Yaoundé. Even more, “who has rented a hotel with expensive services like the Djeuga Palace, has a Robet KONA which nevertheless screams precariousness?

In any case, the Yaoundé regime is accused of being behind this scheme, in view of the electoral deadlines announced in 2025.
