A violent wind damaged the locality of Lagdo center causing 4 deaths and one injury a few days ago. Among these victims is a student carried away in a canoe at the edge of Lake Lagdo. The other three victims perished following the collapse of their home.
Several material damages were also observed as a result of this bad weather. The Lycée Bilingue school buildings (17 classrooms) in Lagdo, those of the foyer du fusilier and the CES (5 classrooms) were also badly damaged.
This sad information was confirmed by the prefect of the department of Bénoué Oumarou Haman Wabi who carried out a descent on the ground in order to realize the extent of the damage.
