Cameroon :: Bangangté: Stephane Simplice Tankeu Made Honorary Citizen of the City By Eric Aime Niat :: Cameroon
It was this Thursday, January 18, 2023, during the reception and handover ceremonies to the Bangangté Town Hall, of three water boreholes built by Stéphane Simplice Tankeu, a native of Bangangté residing in Spain and president of the Association of Cameroonians for Social Development in Spain, abbreviated as ASCAMDES, and initiator of the “one district, one borehole” project. Works carried out thanks to the financial support of the government of the Cantabria Region in Spain.
In Feutap as in districts 3 and 6 where these boreholes were built, a first series of the 15 boreholes announced, the joy of the beneficiary populations was immense. And it is in their name that the councilor of Bangangté, Eric Aimé Niat, who placed his magisterium under the sign of facilitating access of populations to basic social services like access to drinking and quality water, hence the slogan “Bangangté fountain city”, thanked the donor who thus provides a concrete and palpable response to his calls, inviting Bangangté sons and daughters, particularly those from the diaspora, to come and invest in their native land by implementing projects that contribute to the well-being of the populations and the all-round development of the municipality.
The reception of the works was witnessed by the departmental delegate for water and energy of Ndé, the heads of the beneficiary neighborhoods, municipal councilors, etc.
We will come back to this.
