Cameron Diaz may still look gorgeous at 49, but she herself is rarely concerned with her appearance. In fact, she doesn’t even wash her face anymore! In conversation with RuPaul’s Drag Race star Michelle Visage, she shares how her life has changed now that she is no longer in the spotlight.
‘A fall’
Cameron describes Hollywood’s appeal as ‘a trap’ and she’s glad she said goodbye to that world after her marriage to Benji Madden in 2015.
“I am definitely a victim of how society objectifies and exploits women,” she begins her story. “I fell for that too.” According to the blonde, it is difficult not to fall into that trap. “It’s hard to look in the mirror and not judge yourself by ideals of beauty. I also think that’s the biggest difference between then and who I am now. I am a wild animal, I am a beast.”
Nowadays she hardly pays any attention to her appearance. “I don’t care anymore,” she laughs. “It’s the last thing on my mind. I literally don’t do anything anymore, I didn’t even wash my face,” she continues, adding that she has “a billion products” on her shelf that are now gathering dust. “I don’t want to put any more energy into it.”
