Cameras Roll as Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s Separation is Filmed for ‘The Valley’ Spinoff
The cameras are rolling once again in the valley as Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright navigate their public separation. Bravo cameras have resumed filming for their upcoming spinoff show, “The Valley,” which is a spinoff of the popular reality series “Vanderpump Rules.” This news was first reported by Entertainment Tonight.
It is still unclear whether the cameras are solely focused on covering their split, but this wouldn’t be the first time Bravo has gone back into action to document drama. In fact, a camera crew resumed filming in March 2023 when Tom Sandoval was caught cheating on Ariana Madix with Raquel Leviss, who now goes by her birth name, Rachel. Bravo knows that drama sells, and they are not afraid to capture it on camera.
The recent separation of Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky, who cohabitate despite their split, was also documented on Season 13 of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” It seems that Bravo is always ready to capture the ups and downs of its reality stars’ lives.
Cartwright, 35, announced her split from Taylor, 44, last week on their podcast, “When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany.” The couple tied the knot in 2019, and their wedding was featured on “Vanderpump Rules.” They welcomed their son, Cruz, in April 2021. However, Cartwright revealed that their marriage had been particularly challenging over the past year.
“Yes, marriages in general are very hard and I’ve had a particularly rough year this past year,” she reflected. “Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health. I won’t get into too many details right now because this is still very hard to talk about, and I’m taking things one day at a time.”
Cartwright also shared that she is focusing on being the best mom she can be to Cruz as she navigates her split from Taylor. She wants to prioritize her son’s well-being during this difficult time.
While Taylor initially told Page Six that they were living under the same roof after a brief separation, it became evident that their relationship still needed work when Cartwright moved into a new rental property last Friday. Cartwright didn’t hold back when speaking to TMZ, accusing her husband of “not really trying” to fight for their marriage.
“Whenever you fight with somebody for so long, there’s only so much you can take, and you know, I deserve better, [our 2-year-old son] Cruz deserves better,” she explained. It seems that Cartwright has reached her breaking point and is ready to move on from the relationship.
Days later, Cartwright removed Taylor’s last name from her Instagram page, further solidifying the end of their marriage. It’s clear that she is ready to start a new chapter in her life.
“The Valley,” the spinoff show that is currently being filmed, is set to premiere on March 19. Alongside Taylor and Cartwright, the show will also feature “VPR” alum Kristen Doute, her boyfriend Luke Broderick, and several other couples. Fans of “Vanderpump Rules” can look forward to seeing these familiar faces in a new setting.
As the cameras continue to roll in the valley, viewers will be eagerly awaiting the premiere of “The Valley” to see how Taylor and Cartwright’s separation unfolds on screen. Bravo knows how to deliver the drama, and this spinoff is sure to keep fans hooked.
