The Minister of Education threatens to suspend the salaries of teachers who do not want to return to their jobs.

After noting that many teachers have been absent from schools since their assignments, Camélia Ntoutoume threatens to suspend their salaries. Indeed, she summoned the teachers in Libreville to return to their assigned posts.

According to the Gabon media Time site, Camélia Ntoutoume Leclercq also mentioned articles 11 and 64 of law 8/91 on the general status of civil servants, which obliges all civil servants to return to their assigned post as soon as they are appointed.

All this in order to ensure his personal service on a permanent basis by clearly warning that “a civil servant who contravenes these provisions exposes himself to the deprivation of his salary”.
