The Sociedade Galega de Historia Natural (SGHN) he has denounced before the Prosecutor’s office of Environment the route of the Via Ártabra between the polygon of Cambre (A Coruña) and the A-6 motorway “due to its high environmental impactnot assessed under the current legislation, and the irregularities in their processing”, as reported by the entity.
In particular, it explains that the August 1, reported to the office of the Prosecutor the study of the alternatives of the route of the Via Ártabra when you consider that to comply with the ‘Sectoral Plan for the Road Network of A Coruña, Arteixo, Culleredo, Cambre, Oleiros, Sada and Bergondo’.
He also argues that “presents a greater environmental impact, greater cost and worse territorial articulation by modifying the layout proposed by the city Council of Cambre”. In addition, he argues that would “critically” to the wetland To Gándara and that “degradería irreversibly the river system”, points out, among other arguments in his complaint.
“Ignoring consciously these facts, the General Directorate of Quality assurance and Evaluation Environmental estimated as environmentally viable project without subjecting it to an evaluation of environmental impact”, he adds.
When you consider that there might be, in relation to the administrative actions carried out, possible criminal responsibilities by the project director and senior officials of the Ministry of Infrastructures, the SGHN request to the Prosecutor’s office of Environment to investigate “the possible existence of criminal responsibility for the facts denounced, as well as the stoppage of the works of the project.”
