While the governor of Santa Cruz and former presidential candidate, Luis Fernando Camacho, awaits his hearing on the interim measures, one of his lawyers, Martín Camacho, went out this Thursday morning to denounce that, presumably, the defense could not have filed a action of freedom that benefits the excívico.
Camacho, arrested this Wednesday in Santa Cruz and transferred to a hermetic operation in La Paz, spent his first night in the cells of the Special Force to Fight Crime (FELCC).
Faced with this figure, which some political actors in the country interpret as “kidnapping”, Camacho’s lawyer stressed that they would not be able to bring an action for freedom.
“We are in the city of La Paz, while in the city of Santa Cruz we are trying to initiate a freedom action for the illegal arrest, for the kidnapping of our governor Luis Fernando Camacho. The incredible thing about justice is that nobody wants to receive this freedom action”, began the lawyer, in a short video shared on the official account of the Governor of the East, on Facebook.
He complained, mentioning there would be an “excuse” to prevent the act. “No one agrees with those who can help us resolve this constitutional appeal with the excuse that the platform has been burned, the Judiciary is washing its hands and is preventing the achievement of a constitutional guarantee that could favor Luis Fernando, at the time of his kidnapping and its illegal transfer to the city of La Paz”.
