After being released by the Panthers in March of this year, the Patriots looked like one of the ideal places for Cam Newton ─even though New England rejected interest in the passer. Finally, both sides have agreed.
This Sunday Adam Schefter, of ESPN, reported that Cam Newton has struck a one-year deal with the Patriots. According to NFL.com, ‘Supercam’s’ salary will be $ 7.5 million and there is speculation that it will be delivered through incentives for the most part.

The foregoing is a consequence of the New England only has $ 1.34 million in the salary cap (second smallest in the league, just ahead of the Chiefs), a far cry from the $ 20.76 million Newton has pocketed annually since 2015.
