Calm down, Pertamina makes sure the price of Pertalite, Diesel, and 3 Kg Elpiji doesn’t go up

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Pertamina PT Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures that subsidized fuel prices, namely Pertalite, Solar, and 3 kilograms of LPG do not increase, even though the Indonesian Crude Price (ICP) and Aramco Contract Price (CPA) are still high.

It was noted that the ICP oil price as of June touched 117.62 US dollars per barrel, around 37 percent higher than the ICP price in January 2022. Likewise with LPG, the CPA price trend was still high in July reaching 725 US dollars per metric ton ( MT) or 13 percent higher than the average CPA throughout 2021.

“The government through Pertamina continues to maintain people’s purchasing power by maintaining the availability of energy at affordable prices, so Pertalite, Solar and three kilograms of LPG are sold at fixed prices,” explained Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary, Irto Ginting in his official statement, Sunday (10/10). /7/2022).

Pertamina Patra Niaga only made price adjustments for special fuel products (BBK) or non-subsidized BBM types Pertamax Turbo, Pertamina Dex, and Dexlite as well as non-subsidized LPG Bright Gas. Currently, continued Irto, only Pertamax which is a non-subsidized fuel whose price has not changed.

“Currently, we are making adjustments to the Pertamax Turbo and Dex Series products, which account for around five percent of the total national fuel consumption, as well as non-subsidized LPG products, which make up about six percent of the total national LPG consumption,” he said.

Irto said that fuel price adjustments were indeed carried out periodically in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 62/K/12/MEM/2020 concerning the formulation of prices for general fuel types (JBU). This price adjustment was made following price trends in the world oil and gas industry.

The new prices for all these products are effective from July 10, 2022. The price of Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) has increased from Rp. 14,500 to Rp. 16,200 per liter. the price of Pertamina Dex (CN 53) rose from Rp. 13,700 per liter to Rp. 16,500.

The price of Dexlite (CN 51) increased from Rp 12,950 to Rp 15,000 per liter in the DKI Jakarta area or areas with a motor vehicle fuel tax (PBBKB) of 5 percent. For non-subsidized LPG, the Bright Gas brand will be adjusted to around Rp. 2,000 per kilogram.

“All price adjustments are around Rp. 2,000 per liter for fuel and per kilogram for LPG, this price is still very competitive compared to products of equivalent quality. For subsidized ones, the government still plays a big role by not adjusting the price,” he concluded.
