MATA INDONESIA, JAKARTA – Many communities Indonesia who casts doubt on vaccines Covid19, whereas according to immunization expert Dr. Elizabeth Jane Soepardi explained the vaccine handling program was used for vaccination.

In an interview with a spokesperson for the Covid19 Handling Task Force, Dr. Reisa Brotoasmoro, Elizabeth revealed that before being injected into Indonesian citizens, every vaccine goes through a safe procedure.

Before entering the distribution network, each vaccine product must be mass produced at PT Bio Farma.

Bio Farma’s production was carried out after the Food and Drug Administration gave permission for distribution.

After that, Bio Farma will send to vaccine depots that already exist in each province.

Bio Farma distributes vaccine products with a special fleet that is able to maintain an ideal temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius.

All provinces in Indonesia also have adequate cold chain networks. This cold chain includes the availability of special refrigerator facilities for vaccine storage.

This huge refrigerator can store the vaccine for 3-6 months which will gradually be sent to the district, from the regency down to the bottom, to the health center and hospital.

When delivering them to the health center or to their final destination, they will be delivered using a vaccine carrier.

Vaccine carrier can maintain the vaccine temperature 2-8 degrees Celsius. When the vaccine is removed from the refrigerator, it must quickly enter into a temporary container such as a box.

After being delivered to a health facility in the area, it must be injected directly into the community. Elizabeth said that the ideal vaccination must have a clear schedule, including determining the timing of the vaccine.

The government guarantees the readiness of the vaccine distribution infrastructure to the regions when the Covid19 vaccine is ready for production.

According to Jane, Indonesia already has quite a long experience in the management of vaccine distribution, so it is believed that it will have no difficulty when distributing the Covid-19 vaccine later.
