A workshop was held in the capital, Tripoli, entitled “Economic Identity for the Development of Local Affairs”, prepared, organized and sponsored by the “Libyan Path” for development, one of the Libyan organizations working in this field.
The workshop was attended by a number of elites, academics, leaders from middle administrations and public administrations from state agencies, Libyan businessmen and various Libyan experiences from different regions.
During the workshop, a visual presentation was made on the economic identity for the development of local affairs in terms of (diagnosis of reality, concept, capabilities, requirements, and vision).
Many interventions and questions were shared and positive opinions were exchanged.
The attendees reached a number of recommendations, as follows:
- Invite the various Libyan authorities to create an economic identity for the State of Libya, including a local economic identity for the regions
- Urge interested experts, academics, civil society organizations and educational institutions to study and hold workshops and scientific conferences to find out the importance of highlighting the general and local economic identity.
- Informing the Libyan authorities of the importance of drawing up the state’s general policies in light of the decentralization and centralization of development programs
