Residents who have received the first dose of Covid-19 are encouraged to plan the timing of the second dose in good time and to change it only if necessary, said Eva Juhņēviča, Head of the Vaccination Project Division of the National Health Service.
She informed that initially, when people received the first dose of the vaccine, only the date of receipt of the second dose was recorded on the vaccination card, but later began to indicate a specific time.

Now the vaccinators will contact the persons at least two days before the date of receiving the second dose by sending a text message with a specific vaccination time, Juhnēviča informed.
The Minister of Health Daniels Pavļuts (“For Development” / Par! ”) Admitted that there are people who are active and try to call vaccinators in time and find out the time, but he called on the population to trust vaccinators who will provide information in time.
However, if no information has been received from the vaccineer the day before the due date of the 2nd dose, you can contact the vaccination provider who provided the first vaccine and inquire about the time to receive the second vaccine.
The Bureau also called for the planned time and place of the 2nd dose to be adhered to and not changed unreasonably.
If it is not possible to receive the second dose, for example due to illness or an unplanned mission, the office also invites you to contact the vaccination provider and arrange another time, as well as to announce the cancellation of the planned visit.

CONTEXT:
Currently, approximately 25% of adults in Latvia have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Vaccinations were also started this week 16-year-olds. Since May 3 on the site manavakcina.lv whether all residents over the age of 18 could apply for vaccination by phone 8989, but before that, when organizing vaccination against Covid-19, it was planned to vaccinate in Latvia first eight priority groups and decisions had been made by early May open 6 of 8 priority groups.
