TRONDHEIM. Ten kilometers in classic style was on the schedule.

Then Calle Halfvarsson missed the podium by 1.9 seconds.

The fight for third place was a real thrill. Calle Halfvarsson went out late and offensively.

When the Norwegians piled up high positions, Halfvarsson was the only one who could threaten a podium place.

It also looked like it could be a third place – but Halfvarsson lost towards the end and went in fourth, 1.9 seconds behind Henrik Dönnestad in third place.

It was also a Norwegian triple. Johannes Hösflot Kläbo won before Pål Golberg and the aforementioned Dönnestad.

“A little too passive”

Three Swedes finished in the top ten as William Poromaa was ninth and Jens Burman tenth.

– It was actually good. With the body that was today, I would have liked a little more. I was a little shocked in a positive way. I opened quite calmly and felt that now I am energetic today. It’s positive to feel that the body is starting to get going, but I think I was a little too passive today, unfortunately, says Poromaa.

Poromaa also tried to shout Halfvarsson inside the stadium.

– I knew his would go for it today. He was alert yesterday on the classical part. I thought he was going to be on the podium so it was a shame he didn’t get up there.

What do you think he was 1.9 seconds away?

– He’s probably really tired now, but he’s driving well. It will come, it’s easy, says Poromaa with a smile.

Edvin Anger entered in 21st place and Johan Häggström in 30th place. Gustaf Berglund was 49th.
