TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno said the number of spectators at the World Superbike (WSBK) event at the Mandalika Circuit which was held for three days or March 3-5 2023 reached 59 thousand spectators.
“The audience at the event WSBK 2023 will reach 59 thousand viewers,” said the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno during a press conference at the Indonesian Media Center, Sunday, March 5, 2023.
He said the number of spectators at the WSBK 2023 event had increased by 15 percent when compared to the 2022 WSBK event which reached 50 thousand.
“The number of spectators has increased by 15 percent from the WSBK 2022 audience,” he said.
He said the WSBK, MXGP and MotoGP have a significant impact on the economic growth of the community. In addition, the international motor racing event can generate tourism in Indonesia and in NTB.
“This motor racing event has an impact of IDR 5 trillion on the ecosystem of economic movement in Indonesia and quite a lot of jobs have been created,” he said.
