Be that as it may, you should know that your mobile phone, regardless of whether it has an operating system iOS or Android, has the option of making calls with a hidden number, so that the other person cannot see who is trying to contact you. Instead, you will see a phrase like “Hidden call”, “Hidden number”, “Unknown” or similar appear on the screen of your mobile.
There are two ways through which this can be achieved. The first is for a single call and the second can be permanent, as long as the user wishes. If you want to make a hidden call in particular, all you have to do is put the prefix # 31 # before the contact’s phone number. This functionality is similar on both iOS and Android devices. However, in case the user has decided that he wants to make all the calls keeping his number secret, the route to be followed changes depending on the operating system.
On iOS
In case you want to activate this function permanently on your iPhone, you must go to “Settings”. Once inside you will have to go to the “Telephone” section, where you will find the “Show caller ID” option. For all the calls you make to be hidden, you just have to slide your finger on the screen and deactivate it. Note that this change is reversible, so if you ever want to stop appearing as “Unknown”, you just have to go through this route again and activate the Caller ID.
